Some Flat Rock Fun

As some of you probably noticed, the blog has been on a bit of a hiatus for the past few weeks -- but that only came after a June full of get-togethers and getaways.

One of those was a three-day weekend trip to the Asheville area to celebrate the 40th wedding anniversary of my grandparents, Jack and Joanne. We have a large, blended family scattered throughout the country, so we all took the opportunity to stage a mini family reunion, as well.

We had a great time not only visiting with relatives we hadn't seen in awhile, but meeting some members of the family for the first time, too. We visited downtown Hendersonville both to catch up and to relive some of our favorite memories together.
