On Friday night, it was rainy and cold...perfect for carving a pumpkin and drinking apple cider!
This guy has been patiently waiting since we bought him a few weeks ago, and I found some printable carving templates...where else...on Pinterest!
We thought this one had the right mix of fun and spooky.
Here's our cider - home* and away teams.
*Do you notice the chip in the glaze on this mug, right above the handle? FYI - If you pour boiling hot liquid into a chipped mug, it can start to expand, and the handle might even pop off. The sound of cracking pottery isn't exactly what you want to hear when you're carrying blazing cider across the room in said pottery!
Sad - it was one of our favorites. Atlanta skyline and all!
Then yesterday, we hit up a sale at (the cold and windy) Atlantic Station. They were having a Fall Festival, and I lost count of how many balloons the windy weather "stole."
But most importantly, we got together with some of our favorite people to watch GEORGIA BEAT FLORIDA!
Hallelujah, Dawgs! It was about time!
I'm pretty sure it was (almost) as loud as the actual stadium in Taco Mac for several rounds of calling the Dawgs as well as plenty of chanting, "It's great (woof woof) to be (woof woof) a Georgia Bulldog!" Definitely the highlight of the weekend!
Today was fueled by Panera creamy tomato soup and an "adult" grilled cheese. (There's one on the kids' menu, but they'll make you a grown-up version with your choice of bread and cheese if you ask. Good to know!)
We had some errands to run after lunch, but during those errands, I learned that my husband had never seen what is only one of the best Halloween movies of all time...
We promptly came back home and watched it. Amok, amok, amok!
Our last fall festivity was to ride through some of the pretty neighborhoods nearby and look at all the beautiful leaves before they start, well...falling. You can only take so many photos in a neighborhood before people start to wonder what exactly you're doing, but I did snap this one!
Hope you've had a fun fall weekend, too. Next weekend brings Daylight Savings Time. Or in other words...time to get cozy! Can you believe it?
