Anniversary Dinner

Last night, we went to JCT Kitchen on the westside for an anniversary dinner! JCT was one of the first nice places we went to when Andrew was a summer associate in Atlanta during law school, and it's also where we went for dinner the night we got engaged!

And when I say "the night" we got engaged, I actually mean we went about 30 minutes after the big event. So every time our poor waiter came to the table, at least one of us was on the phone. Eventually, I told him that we weren't trying to be rude but that we had just gotten engaged and were still calling people. He just smiled, nodded, and came back over with two glasses of prosecco! Of course we saved the receipt that says, "COMP ENGAGED." Anyway. :)

Aside from all that, we just love the food (and interior design) at JCT, so we thought it sounded like a great spot for an anniversary dinner! We had some drinks and their deliciously salty deviled eggs to start.

We loved our entrees too -- North Georgia trout for A and "meat & potatoes" for W. Yum!

I think I've mentioned it before, but we love using Open Table to make our reservations. Andrew made a note in the OT system that it was our anniversary, yet we were still surprised to see this when our dessert arrived...

We had a great dinner, and the JCT folks once again managed to make our special night even better. Cheers to two years!
